Tina Redding

Tina Redding – President

Hello everyone! My name is Tina Redding and I am the 2017 President of the Palouse Empire Appaloosa Club (PEAC). I am currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree and becoming a CPA. I’ve been happily married to my best friend since 2009, I have two great step kids, two overly smart dogs and three horses, two Appys and a Quarter Horse.
I like to keep my horses busy by going on rugged moutian trail rides, carring flags for our local rodeo, gaming, Cowboy Dressage and most reciently becoming more focused with all around events in the show pen.
My goals this year and in years to come are to promote the versitilty of our breed, help to encourage a positive atmosphere at our show and to help keep the wonder and amazement of the Appaloosa alive!!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, if I don’t have the answer I will track it down and get back to you

We have been breeding Appaloosas since 1993 and the primarily focus of our breeding program is on preserving the Prince Plaudit/Mighty Bright line. This heritage has proven to having long staying traits including easy going dispositions and versatile track records in just about any event that they are asked to do. While we recognize that the Appaloosa is a genetic breed within itself, the most notable trait is the bright colorful coat patterns that set them apart from other breeds and we strive to maintain the color consistency. We consider ourselves to be promoters of the breed and if we don’t have the horse that suits someone’s particular needs, we help to find that certain horse that will. Every member of our breed society is just as important as the horses we support.

I’ve been a member of PEAC since the 50’s. I have raised horses in the past, and did quite a bit of showing in the 60’s & 70’s. I still keep at least one appy, along with my daughter’s quarterhorses. Am primarily a trail rider now. Have been on the Chief Joseph Trail Ride 3 times, 1980, 2015, 2016. It’s such a great experience, I wish all appaloosa lovers would try and attend at least once. I just try to help out the club when possible, probably not as active as the current show people. I also am the points keeper.
